  • Telephone Solicitation

Thank you for visiting the Coral Springs Fraternal Order of Police website. We are currently conducting our yearly telephone fundraising drive. Below are some FAQ's for those who have received a phone call asking for a donation. Thank you all for your support!

    Q.  Is the FOP making phone calls asking for donations?

    A.  Yes, we have contracted with J&G of South Florida to conduct telephone solicitation calls to help raise money to support charitable community projects, such as Concerns of Police Survivors, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Special Olympics, Youth Athletic programs, Coral Springs Thanksgiving Basket program, Broward County Women and Kids in Distress, college scholarships to local students, and other local programs.  In addition, proceeds are also used to benefit families of fallen officers, our local law enforcement community, local businesses, and the community.

    Q.  What does the FOP do with the money that is donated?

    A.  We use the money to support charitable community projects, such as Concerns of Police Survivors, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Special Olympics, Youth Athletic programs, Coral Springs Thanksgiving Basket program, Broward County Women and Kids in Distress, college scholarships to local students, and other local programs.  In addition, proceeds are also used to benefit families of fallen officers, our local law enforcement community, local businesses, and the community.

    Q.  Does the money really go to the FOP?

    A.  Yes, J&G of South Florida is the only company authorized to solicit donations on behalf of the Coral Springs FOP Lodge 87.  If you still have concerns, you may leave a message for us on the Lodge phone line at 954-340-6375 and a member of our Lodge will call you back.  Receipts with official FOP markings will be given with each donation.

    Q.  I want to make sure the money is really going to the FOP, will an FOP member come by and pick it up?

    A.  Yes, you can simply request for an officer from our Lodge to come by and pick up the donation.  Receipts with official FOP markings will be given with each donation.

    Q.  I received a call from 954-769-1529 / 954-769-1527 / 954-533-8126 / 954-533-8128 / 954-990-4593 / 954-990-4752 / 954-903-4692 / 954-903-4693 / 954-903-4696 / 954-903-4697 / 954-903-4699 / or 954-451-3961, is that really from the Coral Springs FOP?

    A.  Yes, Coral Springs FOP Lodge 87 has a contract with J&G of South Florida to conduct telephone solicitation calls to help raise money for the multiple causes we support.

    Q.  They asked me to leave a check outside my house, so they could come by and pick it up, is that normal?

    A.  Yes, as part of their normal practice, they send J&G employees out to pick up the donations.  Receipts with official FOP markings will be given with each donation.

    Q.  What if I don’t want someone to come to my house to pick up the donation?

    A.  You may mail the donation to our Lodge mailing address at:

Coral Springs Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 87
    P.O. Box 770626
    Coral Springs, FL 33077-0626

    Q.  If I want to complain about the phone call I received, who can I contact?

    A.  We would ask that you first try to clear up any concern with the company by contacting Joel from J&G of South Florida at 954-316-6310.  If they are unable to resolve the problem or you still have concerns you can contact our Lodge at 954-340-6375 and one of our officers will call you back.
